Bay leaf (Laurus nobilis ) is also known as bay laurel and has been in use as a fragrance and flavor imparting Spice from the Roman times. Bay leaves are a standard ingredient in many Mediterranean North American, Indian and french Cuisines. They can be used as whole leaves or in Ground form.
